Bangladesh is a country of remarkable resilience. With a rich cultural heritage, growing economy, and a population of over 170 million, it stands as one of South Asia’s most dynamic nations. Yet, behind its progress lies a series of deep-rooted humanitarian challenges that continue to affect millions—especially those in marginalized and rural communities.
Despite major advancements, Bangladesh faces ongoing struggles such as:
Poverty and Food Insecurity: Many families live below the poverty line, with rising food prices making daily survival difficult.
Water and Sanitation Crisis: Millions lack access to clean drinking water, especially in rural and climate-affected areas.
Rohingya Refugee Crisis: Over 1.2 million Rohingya refugees live in overcrowded camps in Cox’s Bazar with urgent humanitarian needs.
Lack of Quality Education: Children in slum areas and remote regions often drop out of school due to poverty or lack of access.
Health and Nutrition Gaps: Malnutrition, poor maternal health, and limited mental health support persist in vulnerable populations.
Climate Vulnerability: Coastal and flood-prone areas regularly suffer from climate disasters, displacing communities and disrupting livelihoods.
At Good Planet International, we are committed to addressing these urgent needs through sustainable and compassionate action. Our projects in Bangladesh focus on long-term development as well as emergency response—reaching both local communities and displaced populations.
Around the globe, we work to find life-changing solutions that transform lives and make the planet a better place for mankind.
